Autonomous Shuttle

A first-hand experience
in autonomous mobility

The Project

As the first self-driving public shuttle in the country to operate in live traffic, the Free Autonomous Shuttle covered a 0.6 mile loop in downtown Las Vegas. Over the course of a year in 2017 and 2018, the pilot program gave a quarter-million free rides to residents and visitors of Las Vegas, exposing most riders to the technology for the first time.

The Promise

The Free Autonomous Shuttle invited people to experience first-hand how autonomous vehicles can improve their lives. We are working to advance autonomous vehicles because we see the potential to enhance safety and mobility across the communities we serve.

It was my first ride in a self-driving vehicle. I felt perfectly safe and saw how responsive it was to pedestrian and road traffic around us. I can't wait for this technology to become more mainstream.
